The Department of Social Welfare of the City of Molina de Segura has expanded the recipients who can request the service of purchasing basic necessities.
In addition to older people and those with mobility difficulties, they may also be requested by people in isolation due to a medical prescription, in both cases who do not have family support or care for public services, according to reports, today, Saturday March 28, the First Lieutenant Mayor and spokesman for the Municipal Monitoring Committee of COVID-19 in Molina de Segura, Ángel Navarro García.
To access this service, a request can be made by phone call to the numbers 968 64 40 20 and 968 64 40 80, or through the email address servicios.sociales@molinadesegura.es.
It will only be necessary to make the request by phone or by email, indicating the personal data: name and surname, address and contact telephone number.
The hours of operation are from Monday to Sunday, from 08:00 to 21:00.
The service includes the purchase of food and / or medicines.
Requests will be met both for situations where cash is available at home, and for those who do not have it.
The Department of Social Welfare, through a social worker, will carry out all the necessary procedures to meet requests and ensure that the purchase reaches the homes.
"It is very important that isolated people feel protected and accompanied in this situation. Normally, non-isolated family members supply the home / isolated family, but, if there is no such possibility, this is what our municipal Social Services are for. "Ángel Navarro points out.
