The pollution levels recorded yesterday, Sunday, March 1, at the San Basilio and Alcantarilla stations are below the threshold of action and, therefore, today, Monday, March 2, it is not necessary to keep the measures applied on Saturday and Sunday
The City of Molina de Segura informs the public that the Municipal Action Framework Protocol in environmental episodes of contamination of NO2 and PM10, which was activated last Saturday, February 29, has been deactivated today, Monday, March 2, when some levels of contamination below the threshold of action, according to the documentation provided by the General Directorate of the Environment of the Region of Murcia.
The measuring stations of San Basilio (Murcia) and Alcantarilla, both belonging to the air quality zone of the urban agglomeration of Murcia, in which Molina de Segura is located, did not register, yesterday, Sunday, March 1, none of the levels of action foreseen in the mentioned protocol.
Specifically, according to the information provided by the General Directorate of the Environment, the average daily concentration of 03/01/2020 was as follows:
- Sewer: 14 µg / m3
- San Basilio: 31 µg / m3
It is therefore not necessary to keep the measures applied on Saturday and Sunday.
The Councilor for the Environment, Mariano Vicente Albaladejo, thanked the collaboration and awareness of Moline citizens during the days of this episode of contamination by NO2 and PM10 particles (Nitrogen Dioxide and Particles less than 10 microns).
