The Hospital de Molina joins the campaign that, under the slogan "Ven a Donar sangre," shares life with us, has launched the Regional Hemodiadontion Center, during the summer period.
Thus, next Tuesday, July 16, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., a mobile device of the Regional Blood Donation Center will be located in the Osteopathic Training Classroom of the Molina Hospital (c / San Martín de Porres, s / n, Molina de Segura next to the emergency door of the Hospital), where donations will take place.
The minimum requirements to be a blood donor include having between 18 and 65 years of age, a weight equal to or greater than 50 kilos, not suffering from anemia and being in good health.
In addition, each donor undergoes a preventive medical examination before carrying out the blood donation.
During 2018, in the Region of Murcia more than 6,996 people became blood donors and another59,657 donated.
Pedro Hernández Jiménez, Director-Manager of the Hospital, encourages all healthy people, regardless of blood type, to come to the hospital to donate "because doing it regularly, ensures the availability of blood and its products to be able to carry out transfusions so necessary for patients with hematological and oncological diseases, for the success of complex medical and surgical interventions performed in any Hospital, for maternal and child care and pregnancy, and to be able to respond to emergencies caused by natural or man-made disasters. And most of all, in summer, that is why it is essential to add solidarity gestures. "
Between 250 and 300 are the daily donations needed to cover the blood needs of hospitals in the Region of Murcia.
