The Nature Information Center Alto del Rellano Vicente Blanes Ecological Park in Molina de Segura, managed by the Department of the Environment of the Molinense City Council, opens its doors on Sunday, April 28, from 10:00 to 14:00.
In addition to offering information on the environmental, landscape, cultural and tourist resources of the environment, the center also organizes an interesting activity aimed at discovering the rich geological heritage of the town.
At 10:15 a guided tour will take place through the Paraje de la Poza, the fossilized coral reef El Apóstol and the Cerro de Los Colorados.
A tour in which attendees will go into places such as the Poza wetland, where there is a palm grove classified as a unique grove, flanked by the steep slopes of the Cerro Alto de El Rellano, formed by the fossilized coral reef El Apostle.
In addition, you will visit the spot of Los Colorados, a peculiar environment of the district that, together with the reef, are classified as a Geological Interest Site (LIG).
The route will last approximately two and a half hours, and it is expected to end at approximately 13.00 hours.
It is aimed at young people and adults, and it is a route of low difficulty.
Participation is free and it is not necessary to make prior registration, except for groups of more than 10 people.
It is recommended to bring water, hat, sunscreen and comfortable clothes and shoes.
