The service company SERCOMOSA of Molina de Segura celebrates World Water Day 2019, under the motto Do not leave anyone behind, today Friday March 22, from 12.00 to 14.00 and from 5.00 to 7.30 pm, in the tent located in the Park of the Company, together with the ornamental fountain with activities to bring different aspects of supply management closer to citizens and promote the use and knowledge of tap water quality that citizens consume in their homes, thereby contributing to sustainable development .
The Mayor of Molina de Segura and President of SERCOMOSA, Esther Clavero Mira, accompanied by the Managing Director of the service company, Francisco Aguado, has made a visit to the tent, where visitors can participate in various activities, such as water tastings and laboratory analysis.
In addition, leak detection displays are carried out in the water networks, by means of a vehicle equipped with a robot with an inspection camera and various technological material used by SERCOMOSA to optimize the distributed resource, which is currently one of the highest in Spain, reaching the figure of 91.20%.
To complete the day, and given the recent incorporation of the new bilateral collection system, demonstrations of selective waste collection are also carried out with the vehicles incorporated in different routes of the municipality.
Water tasting activities take place at 12:30 and 18:00.
As for the procedure, a method of descriptive tasting is carried out, that is, an analysis of the profile of smell, taste and sensation, with its corresponding intensities, and based on a table of organoleptic descriptors that is previously provided to the panelists or participants.
Finally, the tasting concludes, once all the samples have been tested, with a sharing of the results of the same.
