The City of Molina de Segura will install, in different municipal offices, as well as in street lighting, reactive energy compensation equipment, devices with which the consumption and the cost of electric bills are optimized.
The action consists of 3 automatic reactive power compensation batteries to be installed in municipal buildings and 2,682 capacitors for installation in streetlights.
The acquisition cost of the equipment is € 8,126.36, and the expected annual savings is € 2,745.23, which in just over three budget years will be fully amortized, while continuing to save capital to the administration municipal.
This action is the first of its kind to be carried out in the municipality, and is a continuation of the line followed by optimization of electricity bills and increased energy savings in the municipality.
The Councilor for Economic Promotion and Industry, José de Haro González, says that "although we are not obligated, optimizing municipal resources is a moral duty of the government, and in that line we want to continue being."
This continues with the line taken by the current municipal government, to redundate energy savings, optimization and rationalization in the municipality and in the Consistory.
