People and families living with epilepsy met yesterday at the City of Molina de Segura to participate in an act of awareness and visibility of this pathology coinciding with the commemoration on February 11, the International Day of Epilepsy.
The event, organized by D'Genes Epilepsia and also with the support of the Spanish Federation of Epilepsy (FEDE), was opened by neuropediatricist Salvador Ibáñez Micó and later Esther Pérez, affected by epilepsy, offered her testimony of what it means to live with this pathology.
Likewise, Isabel María Miñano, mother of a child affected by epilepsy, was read by a decalogue of needs and in which the importance of visualizing this pathology was also claimed.
In addition, a video was screened for the International Day of Epilepsy, starring the mascot Campi in which they talk about sports and epilepsy. Finally, the president of D'Genes, Juan Carrión Tudela, and the Councilor for Education, Fuensanta Martínez.
