The Nature Information Center Alto del Rellano- Vicente Blanes Ecological Park of Molina de Segura, managed by the Department of the Environment of the Molinense City Council, opens its doors on Sunday, February 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
In addition to offering information on the environmental, landscape, cultural and tourist resources of the environment, the center organizes two interesting activities aimed at discovering the rich geological heritage of the municipality.
At 10.30 am, there will be a fossil and rock workshop in Molina de Segura, where the most important geological values ​​of the area will be revealed, in which you can find up to 6 sites classified as Geological Interest Sites (LIG) , as well as the characteristics of fossils, rocks and relief of the environment, workshop that will include the visit to the exhibition The history of Molina through its fossils.
And, at 11.30 am, a geological route will take place through the Vicente Blanes Ecological Park, where attendees can observe and enjoy the interesting reliefs of the area, pointed ridges and deep ramblas, know the geological history of the municipality covered by the sea ​​8 million years ago and consolidate what was learned in the workshop.
Participation is free and it is not necessary to make prior registration, except for groups of more than 10 people.
