The Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero Mira, accompanied by the Councilor for Economy and Finance, José de Haro González, and the person in charge of the Municipal Business Office of the Molinense City Council, Santiago Pastor Palazón, made an institutional visit, yesterday on Wednesday, the 21st November, at the facilities of the Molinense firm Pedro Segura SL, located on Gloria Street in the La Polvorista Sur Industrial Estate.
The reason for the visit was to inform the municipal services of advice, coordination and control for companies, while establishing a channel of fluid communication between the commercial and the Consistory, through actions aimed at business development.
The facilities were also known by the manager and two senior managers of the company, informing of all the processes and developments that are taking place in it.
Pedro Segura Cerezo founded in 1955 a company from scratch, dedicated to the tin detangling, whose main suppliers were the canning companies in the area, being the second company to be located in La Polvorista after Perdigones Azor.
Today, the group includes 8 factories, 3 in Molina de Segura, and others in Cartagena, Blanca, Seville and Valencia, with an annual global turnover of around 80 million euros.
The circular economy and the responsible treatment and management of aluminum waste are its main activity, but they are already world leaders in research and development, with the patented in 28 countries of a unique substance used in the manufacture of glass, the Sepoan 601 TC.
Currently treats 80,000 tons of waste per year, obtaining natural compost for soil enrichment and fuel for cement plants.
The reuse of metals and their application in multiple fields of industry and technology, are their brand of life.
The company has received multiple awards such as Mercurio in 2013 or R of Ecoembes, the result of close collaboration with universities and research and development centers.
The City of Molina de Segura, through its Mayor, has wanted to support the group through this visit that has proved fruitful, resulting in a series of measures to be applied for the company and several future collaborations.
