The Department of Social Welfare of the City of Molina de Segura and the Network for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion of the Region of Murcia (EAPN) organized the Seminar on Aporophobia and Abolition of Poverty on Thursday, November 22, from 09.30 to 14.30 hours, at the Virginia Martínez Fernández Auditorium, at the MUDEM.
According to the Councilor for Social Welfare, Ángel Navarro García, "to overcome inequality, to eradicate poverty, is not just a desire, a need or a possibility, it must be the unavoidable commitment of all institutions and of all citizens".
The program of the seminar is as follows:
09.30 hours: opening and presentation of the seminar.
The Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero Mira, the General Director of Family and Social Policies of the Region of Murcia, Miriam Pérez Albaladejo, and the President of EAPN of the Region of Murcia, Diego Cruzado, attend.
09.45: presentation Poverty, inequality, exclusion, by José Antonio Zamora, Senior Scientist at the Institute of Philosophy of the Center for Human and Social Sciences, in the Higher Council for Scientific Research.
11.30 am: presentation Aporofobia, by Emilio Martínez Navarro, Professor of Moral and Political Philosophy at the University of Murcia.
12.30 am: round table What is being done to abolish poverty?
David Velasco Mata, responsible for the CaixaProinfancia Program, and Rosa Cano Molina, Vice-president EAPN Región Murcia participate.
2:00 pm: closing.
