The brutal rise in the price of diesel proposed by the PSOE for January has a clear collecting objective, so it is rejected by the PP and the rest of the Municipal Corporation is asked to join.
The spokeswoman of the Popular Municipal Group, Sonia Carrillo, has announced this morning at a press conference the motions that the Popular Party has submitted for study, debate and approval to the October plenary session, which will be held next Monday 29th. The first of the initiatives is related to the freedom of teaching.
The mayor Popular has advocated for the right of families to decide in which network, public or concerted, they wish to school their children.
"It is the parents who are responsible for choosing the center where they want their children to be trained and if there are no alternatives, there can be no freedom of choice."
Carrillo has criticized the express reform of the Organic Law of Education, which according to the Minister of Education, Isabel Celaá, is going to undertake the Government of Pedro Sánchez and that puts at stake the future of many teachers and students.
"It is inadmissible that they consider carrying out a reform of this draft unilaterally and without dialogue with the education sector, imposing the system that the socialist party wants.
For decades both educational models have coexisted and now removing the weight of concerted education is not the solution.
From the PP we have always opted for quality public education, but also to offer parents the possibility to freely choose the center where they want their children to study. "
"The brutal rise in the price of diesel proposed for January by the PSOE worries us a lot.
This measure, with a clear revenue objective, will affect millions of Spaniards and will have a negative effect both for the economy and for thousands of transporters, SMEs, small self-employed people and citizens in general, without mentioning the impact on the automobile sector.
Therefore, we have filed a motion for the Municipal Corporation to show its rejection of this tax increase announced by the PSOE, "he explained.
IN DEFENSE OF THE UNITY OF SPAIN
The third of the initiatives defends the unity of Spain against those who want to disintegrate it.
"The irresponsible and improper statements of who should be the president of all Spaniards, Pedro Sanchez, showing himself in favor of holding a referendum in Catalonia, are unacceptable.
We are worried that Sánchez intends to pay his government pacts with pro-independence supporters and leave national unity in his hands.
For this reason, we want to show our rejection of the holding of a referendum or consultation in Catalonia or any other Spanish territory, which attempts against the Constitution or breaks the unity of Spain, which is the best guarantee of the equality of rights and freedoms of all Spanish ", concluded the Municipal Group spokeswoman, Sonia Carrillo.
