"The tiger mosquito is testing positive throughout the Region of Murcia, not only in Molina de Segura," as recalled by the Councilor for Public Health of the Molinense City Council, Esther Sánchez Rodríguez, so "the City Council has adhered to the Sampling Plan of the Ministry going from being operative from April to October to be it all the year ".
Due to the high temperatures, the City Council has reinforced the treatments in public areas, scuppers and ramblas, but requests that the neighbors review their plots and not accumulate water in pots, fountains, pools and water tanks.
The notices received, so far, are from private areas and not public, so that public awareness and collaboration is essential to prevent the spread of the tiger mosquito.
"The warm winters of the Region allow tiger mosquito reproduction throughout the year, so it is necessary to strengthen the actions of the City Council and also the neighbors in their plots," says Esther Sanchez.
The Department of Public Health collects and attends the notices of the citizenship on the telephone number 968 38 85 20, and at the email address inspeccionsanidad@molinadesegura.es.
