The Autonomous Community works on the rehabilitation of 94 social housing in Molina de Segura, which will invest more than 83,000 euros.
The works consist in the improvement of common elements of waterproofing in roofs and the accessibility of some portals, as well as repairs in elements of facades (blinds and deteriorated slat blinds) and repainting of stairwells.
The rehabilitation of these social housing, under lease, is part of the actions of the regional government to ensure access to decent housing for people who need it most.
This is complemented by initiatives of the Housing Plan, which includes aids to rent, subsidies for urban rehabilitation and regeneration and improvements in accessibility in buildings, among other measures.
Rocío Balsalobre, General Manager of Planning, Architecture and Housing, José Antonio Fernández Lladó, together with Molina de Segura Housing Council, visited the works today, which are expected to end in October, and stressed that "Will contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of its residents, by adapting the properties and renewing the image of this group of homes."
In the area of ​​social housing, the Ministry of Development is acting in the rehabilitation of 477 buildings in nine municipalities, which will involve a total investment of 1.5 million euros funded by the Community and the State, within the framework of the Housing Plan of the Region of Murcia.
