Diego Jiménez García (Cartagena, 1953) has a degree in Philosophy and Letters from the University of Murcia.
He has worked as a teacher until 1994 and since that year as a Geography and History teacher in Secondary until his retirement in 2013. Social activist since the late 70s, and a contributor to the press in various media, since 2000 he is a columnist for the newspaper The Opinion of Murcia.
He has been the promoter of the Association of Historical Memory of Murcia and the Republican Athenaeum of Murcia, associations to which he still belongs.
The house of the hill (Tirano Banderas, 2018) is a book dedicated to his mother, Ana García, born during the dictatorship primorriverista in a long family of landless peasants in the area of ​​Cartagena.
The house on the hill is the home where his mother was happy, oblivious to the political moments that were lived.
Ana, who barely went to school, started writing her memories at night.
From the conversations and memories kept with his mother this book is born.
