Subsidies to clubs and athletes are recovered in the budgets of the Molina de Segura City Council in 2018, after 7 years without being granted, with the novelty of reaching all sports, both teams and individuals.
These subsidies may benefit football clubs, basketball, indoor football, volleyball, badminton, handball, cycling, as well as other minority disciplines and adapted sports.
The Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero Mira, along with the technical managers of the Department of Sports and Health, held a meeting Monday afternoon with the representatives of sports clubs in the town, where they were announced criteria that have been established to access these grants.
Monday's meeting took place after a long process initiated by the Department of Sports and Health, which has allowed to reach an agreement that provides for an equitable distribution of subsidies.
Several parameters have been established, framed in five action groups, which take into account an equitable distribution among all clubs, distribution for the base sport, distribution for the senior federated sport, federated sports achievements and the organization of events .
The agreement reached with the sports representatives has been preceded by a sharing of the various vicissitudes that cross the different sports disciplines and the problems that some of them have to be able to move forward.
The municipal subsidies to the clubs and sports entities stopped being granted in 2011, year in whose municipal budget a game of 30,000 euros was contemplated for football and basketball.
