Cerda said that the network of collectors "will transport wastewater volumes across the northern area of the municipality directly to the main sewage Campotéjar", which will, among other improvements, "to save energy and eliminate three small old water treatment plants, whose purification ability is very limited. With the construction of this Plan North Molina, the entire area south of Molina de Segura, located below the highway, "will increase the capacity of waste water, residual and rainwater."

The Ministry of Agriculture and Water is currently running in this county works worth 7.6 million euros, which are financed by 80 percent by the Cohesion Fund of the European Union.
