The City Molina de Segura and the RACC taught in local schools Education Program for Mobility (26/02/2010)

The goal of this activity is to teach civic values from childhood, which subsequently result in a safer mobility

The City of Molina de Segura and RACC, recognized leader in the field of transport in Spain, taught jointly by the Education Program for Mobility (PEM), to be held from 2 to 11 March in schools Holy Family, Sacred Heart, Tierno Galván and La Purisima in El Llano.

The program is intended for students of 2 nd and 3 rd cycle of primary education and is part of the activities of road safety education conducted by the city of Molina de Segura, through the Department of Public Safety and local police, including schoolchildren municipality.

The objective of PEM is to get an increasingly safe mobility through education and values education from childhood, a fact that contributes to the reduction of accidents and accidents in the future drivers.

425 students participate, the equivalent of 17 classes of primary education.

The activities range from videos made for Road Safety Outreach to interactive games including a CD ROM.

The PEM has an interdisciplinary character.

Is designed so that teachers can approach the issue of road safety from any of the materials that are normally taught.

During 2009, the Education Program for Mobility has reached 30,000 students in Spain, distributed in 218 schools of Andalusia, Valencia, Murcia, Baleares, Cataluña, Aragón, Madrid and Galicia.

The PEM contains a CD ROM, with a very attractive picture, which includes 38 proposals of activities tailored to each subject.

This support can also provide interactive games and multimedia elements, elements that contribute to the school to approach the world of mobility from a recreational perspective.

Alongside the activities to be developed by teachers, the CD Rom also includes a number of resources (videos, articles, bibliographies, Web links, etc..) That allow teachers to broaden their knowledge on mobility.

More than 2,000 students from Molina de Segura receive road safety training during the year 2010, given by local police officers in the Children's Traffic Park.
