The Department of Health of Molina de Segura organizes a program of activities to mark the World Day for Rare Diseases (25/02/2010)

The program of activities marking the World Day for Rare Diseases, organized by the Department of Health of the City of Molina de Segura, together with the Foundation for Medical Studies Molina de Segura (FEM), the College of Pharmacists of the Region Murcia and La Caixa, has been presented at a press conference today, Thursday 25 February, the Councillor for Health, Lola Vicente Quiles, and Secretary of the Medical Research Foundation Molina (FEM), Josefina García Lozano.

On Friday 26 February at 13.00, there will be a special live programming from Radio Company, which includes a chat with various guests.

At 19.30 pm in the auditorium of the College of Education Child Paseo Rosales, will be a conference on rare diseases and orphan drugs, given by Dr. Josep Torrent, Chairman of the Committee for Orphan Medicinal Products of the European Medicines Agency .

Will be presented by the Director of the Foundation FEDER, Mercedes pastor.

This is the popular science conference XLVIII of the EMF.

For its part, Saturday February 27 events will be held:

From 10.00 to 14.00, in Paseo Rosales, will install an information table, with the presence of health professionals, patients and families and associations of the municipality, collecting signatures to join the Decalogue of the Spanish Federation for Rare Diseases (ERDF) on facilities, services, and referral units.

From 10.00 to 14.00, Children's Festival will be held INVENTED COUNTRY, with bouncy castle and entertainment.

Cantabaila Performance (Music Box) and a large orange juice for children.

At 11.00 pm in the auditorium of the College of Education Child Paseo Rosales, presentation at a press conference of the Association for Rare Disorders molinense.

At 12.00 pm in the auditorium of the College of Education Child Paseo Rosales, will be a panel discussion, moderated by the Councillor for Health, Lola Vicente Quiles, which will have speakers to: Director of the Foundation FEDER, Mercedes Pastor, the Head of Department of Biochemistry and Genetics at the Hospital Virgen de la Arrixaca, Dr. Asunción Fernández Sánchez (with the paper The Role of Center of Biochemistry and Genetics in the Diagnosis of Rare Diseases), and the President of the Association molinense Rare Diseases (AMER), Daniel Martínez Riquelme.

Finally, on Monday, March 8, the full City Council approve Molina de Segura a joint motion of all local groups to support the second World Day for Rare Diseases.
