The signing of the Partnership Agreement between the city of Molina de Segura and the Humane Society of Molina de Segura for Animal Protection and Promotion of Adoption took place today Wednesday 24 February at City Hall molinense.
Attended the event the mayor of the town, Eduardo Contreras Linares, the president of the Humane Society of Molina de Segura, Sebastián Moreno Abad, and the Councillor for Health, Lola Vicente Quiles.
The purpose of this agreement is to define the actions and activities on protection of animals will be developed by both entities.
The City of Molina de Segura has Municipal Animal Health Center, which serves, among others, shelter for animals collected from the streets, abandoned or otherwise disposed of by their owners.
The center is open to the public, which can adopt the same to the resident animals.
Since the signing of the agreement, the Humane Molina de Segura can have the use of such facilities as a shelter for their association.
The City of Molina de Segura is responsible for the following functions: shelter and food for animals, cleaning and maintenance of hygienic conditions / adequate sanitary facilities, provision of a concierge at the center that serves the public at the time that every moment is established, maintenance of the necessary documents relating to entry and exit of animals that includes, among others, the Official Book of Record of the Animal Health Center, as well as the monthly summaries, document retrieval, transfer, adoption, collection, etc. ; and maintenance of works and installations that every time reforms deemed necessary for animal welfare.
For its part, the Humane Molina is responsible for the following functions: promoting the adoption of animals by raising awareness among citizens and using new technologies, maintaining an updated web page for dogs available adoption, animal health care, including both preventive and curative treatments and surgical procedures necessary for it to have a vet, who is technical manager of the hostel and coordinate with the Director of Animal Health Center.
In addition, both parties undertake to respect the philosophy of ZERO SACRIFICE, so that, except in cases where the veterinarian Protective Molina de Segura finds that a waiver is granted for humanitarian reasons it is advisable to proceed with euthanasia animals, campaigns should be intensified making and responsible decision, in order not to have to limit the entry of animals at the Centre, which, in any case not exceed the number at any time deemed appropriate Director of the Center for Animal Health.
This Agreement is valid until December 31, 2010, and is automatically renewed for annual periods if neither party communicates its desire to terminate it.
The Humane Molina de Segura was born as a new citizen volunteer association whose purpose is to prevent animal suffering, especially dogs and cats, and neglect through public awareness campaigns and by promoting responsible adoption.
