At a press conference the Socialist councilor, Lola Ferre, has informed the public that the City has a new debts amounting to over 4.5 M € of unpaid bills 2008 and 2009.

To give citizens an idea for this new debt will have to pay more than € 12,000 a day.

Within two days the Mayor has blown 7% of the 2010 budget to deal with the creditors, and every time we have a City Council more indebted and more deficits.

We remind citizens that the PP government has dragged the council to a position of € 12 million deficit in 2007 and 2008, 35 million euros in loans to banks and savings banks, except that, in these two recent years as unpaid bills pulled the drawers of the Department of Finance for an amount exceeding € 5 million.

The Municipal Socialist Group disagrees with this attitude of the Mayor of "apúntamelo in mind that it will pay" because it is seriously damaging business, self-employed and workers who have to make real juggling to keep afloat its economic activity and the payment of wages to their employees.

For example, one of the companies that more bills will be the CITY is Sercom (1.5 million €) and the Consortium of Firefighting owe an entire year, ie more than 800,000 €.

The Socialist Party hopes that this extraordinary debt of 4.5 M €, which is eaten part of the current budget, does not involve a cut in municipal investments (as it did in the budget for 2009) or social spending and active policy employment.

And, of course, that is not impacting the taxpayers with another little rise in taxes because the City Council Molina is one of the most suffocating Municipalities has its taxpayers.

From the Socialist Municipal Group requests the Mayor and his councilors to stop being a mere spectator of the crisis and that hustler once and for all and get to work as soon as possible to save the financial situation of City Hall.
