The PSOE demand the City Council and the Autonomous Community public day care and Bank Torrealta for next year (23/09/2009)

Note from PSOE:

The Municipal Socialist Group returns to denounce the lack of seats and preschool or day care centers for children 3 years and creates serious harm to the families of Molina de Segura.

Every year, hundreds of families who are left without public childcare places, a problem that is even more acute in the districts, as in Torrealta, Llano Ribera de Molina.

The PSOE will ask the support of the plenary session on September 28 to build a public kindergarten to open next year in the districts of Torrealta and Ribera de Molina, and new adjoining areas and other areas around Molina de Segura.

Socialist spokesman Antonio Gomariz, considerations of justice that the families of the parishes have a service as basic as a nursery nearby, and are also supporting several years of large tax increases the City Council.

Having a nearby center will allow families to enroll their children in daycare and not have to travel several miles to attend one, if they are "lucky" to have a place.

There are over 500 children under three years in the districts, a large population that is growing and represents more than 14.5% of all children under 3 years of the county, nearly 4,000.

For them, there are more than 400 municipal seats, insufficient number, equivalent to approximately 11% total coverage, which does not even cover the annual demand, a ratio that has not improved the figures of 15 or 20 years.

The Municipal Socialist Group requests the City Council and the Government of Valcárcel that "no more hiding behind Zapatero" and fulfill their responsibility, their obligations to care and participate and cooperate to build and fund this much needed care for and Ribera Torrealta .

The PSOE has been reporting repeatedly, most recently in June, the serious lack of public childcare places and in Molina de Segura to serve nearly 4,000 children under three years of the town and families who want to be in a public kindergarten.
