The Spokesman of the Municipal Group PSOE, Antonio Gomariz, appeared before the media accompanied by representatives of Neighbourhood Associations of the estates of Molina de Segura, to show their rejection of unequal treatment that the City gives some neighborhood associations .
The problem, explained the Socialist Spokesman arises because the City is poorly regulated financial assistance and subsidies granted by way of participation.
The situation that occurs is discriminatory, because where there is more of a neighborhood association or even where there is not, as happens in some neighborhoods of Molina, the City Council selects one discriminates Association and others, leaving them out of the distribution of aid and grants to organize citizen participation.
This discrimination is occurring especially in residential areas.
In some where there is only a Neighborhood Association denied all aid and yet is given to the Bank Urban Conservation and Collaboration, which are neither associations, or are regulated by the rules of the association and also born to another completely different function what we mean by participation.
Therefore, the PSOE neighborhood representatives and asking to amend the basis for grant aid for citizen participation, and that the projects selected and supported by the City Council in this area are those who organize neighborhood associations on the basis of objective criteria: type activity, quality, participation, etc..
According to Antonio Gomariz, neighborhood representatives and AA.VV.
are not asking for more money, but equal treatment and consideration of its status AA.VV.
