The company Bito Producciones (Madrid) presented the comedy Are You There?, With Paco León and Maripaz Sayago Lazona as protagonists, on Sunday 26 April at 20.00 pm in the Teatro Villa de Molina (at Avenida del Chorrico, n º 10 .)
Tickets are sold out.
The story takes place in a small apartment room, which just moved Anna and Fran, two thirtysomethings.
Fran encourages parties with his magic tricks and Ana is an ophthalmologist.
They are in their new habitat to the surprise of an invisible man who does not want to miss.
Ana suspect it is a wonder of ophthalmology.
Renata was nominated as assistant to Fran for their magic shows, is a character that must necessarily play the same actress who up to Ana, for a reason that is not appropriate to reveal here.
Then, the characters are four, but only two actors.
This is a comedy that incorporates procedures of fantasy, set a tone of mockery in some cases, with emphasis melodramatic in others.
Also, are you there? Has some scenes simultaneous feature of postmodern literature and in particular Daulte writing, which always carries inherent theatricality.
As author and director, is working to create dramatic tension and has a special domain of the stage, so that gives his works an extremely agile dynamics.
The audience creates the message, but before, inevitably enters a game that is both fun and smart.
Are you there? Was originally released in its first version of a single male character and English at the Old Vic Theatre in London to address the author at the Borders Festival 02.
