Workshop students receive a salary while they train and work in social interest projects
The Minister of Education, Training and Employment, Sotoca Constantine, accompanied by the Mayor of Molina de Segura, Eduardo Contreras, visited the workshop of employment 'Horno del Castillo' and school-workshop 'Mujeres de Molina', which is being developed the municipality with a budget of over 1.6 million euros and allow to train and employ 70 unemployed.
In particular, the employment workshop 'Horno del Castillo', with a budget of more than one million euros, are taking 40 young, under 25 years in the restoration of an old bakery, located in the neighborhood of Castillo, and the fitting of the seats of the workshop schools, employment workshops and houses the office of the municipality.
The counselor explained that "this is a unique opportunity for young unemployed because they not only receive specialized training in traditional crafts but also earning wages equal to 75 percent of minimum wage."
For its part, the Workshop School 'Mujeres de Molina' home to 30 unemployed women who are learning a trade while working in municipal nurseries in the geriatric nuns and the various municipal social services.
The Ministry has allocated over € 600,000 for the development of this Training Workshop.
Sotoca reiterated its intention to continue betting on effective methods for employment and training, in collaboration with local government, as a means to "advance our municipalities and in response to the crisis we are suffering."
In this regard, said that "75 percent of students participating in these programs, that is, seven out of ten, find a job after finishing school or Workshop Employment Workshop.
