The new Civil Protection units of Molina de Segura have been inaugurated on Saturday 29 November, in a building next to the Ciudad del Transporte de Molina de Segura, in the Industrial Park Walled.
The event was attended by the Mayor of town, Eduardo Contreras Linares, Minister of Presidency and Public Administration of the Region of Murcia, María Reverte Pedro Garcia, the Director General of Emergency Gestoso Luis Miguel, and Alderman of Public Safety and Protection Civil, Fortunato Arias City.
The new Civil Protection headquarters is located in a warehouse property in the Industrial City The Walled.
In their construction and equipment has helped the Directorate General of Emergency Department of the Presidency of the Autonomous Region of Murcia, following the agreement signed with the city of Molina de Segura.
The ship has more than 300 square meters, with various facilities: meeting room, changing rooms, stores, etc.
Also, will host the Association of Civil Defence Volunteers and the variety of materials, vehicles and rescue canine unit.
According to the Mayor said, "These new facilities are an example of the interest of the City Council to be prepared to deal with possible emergencies in the town."
The Civil Protection Service of Molina de Segura is formed by a technician and the Association of Volunteers, with more than 30 people.
The Association has several units, including: Canine Unit, Training and Emergencies.
As the vehicle fleet, the service has: a vehicle headed, two jeeps, two vans (one of transporting people and another for the canine unit) and a motorcycle.
Civil Protection has also broadcast equipment and material needed to meet different emergencies.
