The Medical Research Foundation Molina de Segura presents a popular science lecture on New anticoagulants and hemodonation, by Professor Vicente Vicente García (21/11/2008)

Medical Research Foundation of Molina de Segura (FEM) presented at a press conference today, Friday 21 November, the next conference of scientific (number 33), to be held in Molina de Segura (hall of the College Child Education Paseo Rosales) on Thursday November 27, 2008, at 20.00, with free entry, under the title of New anticoagulants and hemodonation, by Professor Vicente Vicente García, Professor of Hematology at the University of Murcia, Head of hospital Oncohematology Reina Sofia Morales Meseguer of Murcia, and Director of the Regional Centre of Blood Donation.

The conference is organized by the WEF, the city of Molina de Segura and the Hospital de Molina, sponsored by the Caixa.

The presentation was made by Francisco Guirado Sánchez, Director of the Hospital de Molina, Director of the WEF, and Josefina García Lozano, Secretary of the EMF.

The speaker has more than 250 studies published in international journals, has directed more than 30 doctoral theses, and no fewer than 40 research projects.

He was president of the Spanish Society of Hematology and a member of the European Society of Hematology.

The important increase in population has not been accompanied by a proportional increase in new blood donors.

It is essential that we all understand that the act of donating blood is a civic responsibility, and with that we are helping to improve the health of that most likely we will have to benefit in some moments of our lives. "

Coinciding with the conference on New anticoagulants and hemodonation, EMF publishes and distributes the number 29 of the magazine femciudadano, with a circulation of 5,000 copies.
