The exhibition The Marquis of Vélez: Lordship and Power in the kingdoms of Granada and Murcia (XV / XIX), organized by the Culture Department of the City of Molina de Segura, will be inaugurated on Thursday 13 November at 20.00 in the Exhibition Hall Garden (on Calle Joaquín Abellán, No. 8, Molina de Segura).
The event was attended by Mayor of the town, Eduardo Contreras Linares, the Director General of Books, Archives and Libraries in the Region of Murcia, Francisco Giménez Gracia, Councillor of Culture, Mariola Martinez Robles, and the curator of the exhibition, Domingo Beltrán .
The exhibition will be open until 13 December and will be open: Tuesday to Friday from 11:00 to 13:00, and 17:00 to 20:00, Saturday, 17:00 to 20:00 hours Sunday, from 11:00 to 13:00 hours and Monday, closed.
Coinciding with the celebration of the V Centenary of the establishment of the rule of the Vélez (1507/2007), the Committee formed for this purpose considered appropriate by the holding of an exhibition that would be known, in a simple, attractive and rigorous, the history and major social and political events Fajardo family and various Marquises of Velez in the context of the Spanish possessions in the South, between the thirteenth and early nineteenth centuries.
