The presentation of the book Adventure in the sea ice, the writer Elias Meana, will take place on Thursday 30 October at 19.00 pm in the Library Salvador García Aguilar Molina de Segura (at Avenida del Chorrico, No. 44).
The work is the third title of the teen drama Blue Pilot. In the act intervene Redondo María de los Angeles and Teresa Alonso López Cara, director and secretary, respectively, of the College of Education and Primary siphon Molina de Segura.
Elijah Meana (Salamanca, 1946), currently residing in Molina de Segura, he studied at the Faculty of Nautical Studies of Barcelona and practiced his profession as a sailor for seven years, after which he joined the Maritime Service of Telefónica.
In 1983, the schooner and the Ides of March, he participated as crew in the first Spanish expedition to Antarctica.
Later, he joined the technical team in 1986, built Antarctic Base Juan Carlos I, and the following year was appointed head of it.
In 1998 he won the Nostromo of nautical fiction with his novel Maria Bonita.
Since then he has developed a successful career as a writer, with such titles as Captain of fortune, Winning Among windward and flags.
Through the trilogy of children's books the blue, Elijah Meana want to give love and respect to Antarctica, defending it as a valuable resource for all humanity and denouncing the mass tourism and adventure with no sense of most expeditions .
