Grand opening of the new Children's Traffic Park Molina de Segura, where pupils receive road safety education in the municipality (16/10/2008)

The new Children's Traffic Park Molina de Segura, built by the City molinense, was inaugurated today Thursday 16 October by the Mayor of the town, Eduardo Contreras Linares, who was accompanied by the Provincial Traffic Chief, Francisco Javier Jiménez Jimenez, Councilman Traffic, Fortunato Arias City Councilman and Public Way, Vicente Fernandez Oliva.

The City of Molina de Segura has made an investment of 925,000 euros for the construction of the park on city-owned land with an area of 8,183 meters square, adjacent to the Conservation Park, between the Avenue Gabriel and streets Prisons Association Concordia (District of The Trap).

The practical circuit has an area of 2,481 square meters of tracks, with their road, flyover and underpass and simulation of level crossing.

The facilities also have two classrooms (one computer) to give lectures and the dependencies needed to monitor and address of the park, as well as related services and toilets.

It is equipped a room for parking of vehicles used in the park with an area of 200 square meters.

The City expected to be formed, in Education Road, about 1,000 students each school year.

"We must highlight the importance of this teaching, the positive impact that an adequate road safety education in public behavior in public," said Councilman Traffic, Fortunato Arias.

Molina de Segura, more than 20 years has been conducting a driver education program focused on children of the municipality, through the participation of schools, with great acceptance.

Students are instructed by the local police, agents for training tasks during this time.

So far used the Plaza del Ayuntamiento and Plaza de la Cerámica, which recreates a small park where driver education courses were developed over three months.

"Thanks to the commitment of the government team, Molina de Segura now has a Children's Traffic Park on a permanent basis and the means to conduct a training program that is standard in all municipalities in the Vega Media," said Mayor Eduardo Contreras.
