The ceremony for the I SUSTAINABLE ACTION AWARDS 2008, created by the Department of Environment of the City of Molina de Segura will be held on Tuesday 3 June at 20.00 pm in the Meeting Room of City Hall, coinciding with the R Environment Fair.
With these awards is to recognize all those activities aimed at sustainability, carried out by citizens and associations of Molina de Segura, public and private entities, and the different media in the region.
"The awards provide publicly acknowledge the effort of individuals, associations, companies or institutions and regional organizations who have distinguished themselves for publishing, create and implement behavior or methodological techniques that favor the development of environmentally sustainable activities and a clear commitment to Environmental Protection environment, "says Councillor for the Environment, Consuelo Rosauro Meseguer.
Divided into five categories, this first edition of the Sustainable Action Awards honors projects, strategies, actions or campaigns nature or environmental content and noted for its innovation, technical feasibility, effectiveness methodology, design, investment effort, and diffusing capacity especially for its environmental benefits.
These categories are:
- Award for Sustainable Action Schools and training, which excelled in conducting awareness programs and environmental activities: the award this year for the Immaculate CEIP El Llano de Molina, for his long history of incorporating environmental education and Sustainability Values in school based management.
- Award for Sustainable Action Citizens Association for their collaboration and participation in projects and activities to promote citizen participation, sowing in neighboring Molina de Segura new concerns to the Environment and Sustainable Development: BANK URBAN CONSERVATION PARTNER Altorreal, for his career, more than fifteen years in the work of awareness and involvement of citizens in achieving a balanced and respectful to the environment through activities for the environmental recovery of natural spaces and green areas.
- Award for Sustainable Action Public or private companies that excel in the development of new technologies and industrial processes with reduced environmental impact and the use of better techniques for environmental protection: IBERDROLA, for its business efforts on behalf of the environment environment to become a reality the implementation of renewable energy in the region and especially in Molina de Segura.
- Award for Sustainable Action citizen committed to the environment, for a person who has excelled actions and behavior can respect the environment of the city: LARROSA ANGEL MUĂ‘OZ, as an exemplary citizen of Molina de Segura, for his collaboration in the maintenance and care of the immediate environment.
- Award for Sustainable Action Media, who have developed programs and projects targeted communication and public awareness towards the conservation of the Environment and Sustainable Development: JOURNAL OF TRUTH, the weekly supplement of Nature and Environment OUR LAND, exceptional vehicle transmitter social awareness towards new forms of life who combine the conservation of nature and its resources to social and economic progress of our cities.
Likewise, reward the best public or private initiative that deserves special mention for their support for the preservation and improvement of the environment in the region.
In this issue, the City of Molina de Segura made special mention of the award actions to the Director of Sustainable Development and Planning, Javier Benito Mercader León.
