Marwan Raul Vacas, Chris Stewart, Alicia Giménez Bartlett and Manuel Rivas will participate in the tenth edition of Literary Writers Lecture Series in ink 2016, organized by the City of Molina de Segura, in collaboration with the Caixa.

The cycle has been presented at a press conference, Tuesday February 2, by the First Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Culture, Worship Molina López, and the coordinator of the cycle, the journalist and writer Lola Grace.

The first event of this edition will be held on Thursday, February 4, at 20:00 pm in the Library Salvador García Aguilar (in Chorrico Avenue, No. 44), with the Madrid Marwan.

With great response from both the public and the media, the cycle is included within the firm commitment by the book and began reading more than a decade the City of Molina de Segura, and has become the city a cultural landmark in literary matters.

In previous editions of the cycle they have involved some of the most prominent writers of the national and international scene, from the French Michel Houellebecq or the Peruvian Alfredo Bryce Echenique, to live classics of Spanish literature as Eduardo Mendoza, Enrique Vila-Matas, Javier Cercas Rosa Montero, Almudena Grandes Juan Jose Millas, among many others.

MARWAN

(Madrid, 1979)

Despite being an independent artist, Marwan Abu-Tahoun Recio has managed to become one of the most successful songwriters in the circuit rooms Spain.

To this the 30,000 copies sold of his first book of poems The sad story of your body on mine (self-released) are added.

His new book of poems, all my future are you (Planeta, 2015), takes 3 editions.

At home they sounded Serrat, Silvio Rodríguez and Sabina, but his influences also include Manu Chao, Calamaro and Nach.

Son of Palestinian and Spanish, achieved with his poetry and songs pass from the particular to the universal: everyone can identify with his verses.

That and the support of social networks make it an artist with a large number of followers.

Marwan play some of their songs and will be accompanied by his brother Samir, who will present his book Things I've broken.

Raul COWS

(Salamanca, 1971)

Writers in ink bet this year for poetry and vision of this young author who runs with Isabel Brown School of Creative Writing and Brown Cows: an educational and cultural project which aims to encourage a taste for literature and life in the countryside.

Raul Cows carry a suitcase full of poetic objects shared with the students compared to those who address the prejudices and fears that exist in relation to writing and poetry.

CHRIS STEWART

(Faygate, Horsham, West Sussex, 1951)

(Almansa, 1951)

Renowned for her character Inspector Petra Delicado, who has reported large readership and a television series, his literary life goes beyond the black race.

Brand Planeta Prize with the work Naked men (history of the fatal relationship of a dispute arising in the vicinity of male prostitution partner), also won the Nadal in 2011 where no one will find you: a historical novel about the life of the hermaphrodite guerrilla fighter maquis Teresa Pla Meseguer, alias Pastor, allegedly raped in 1949 by the Civil Guard.

MANUEL RIVAS

(Corunna, 1957)

Writer, poet and journalist whose work takes place mainly in Galician, although he often translates into Castilian language that writes articles for El País.

Founder of Greenpeace Spain, partner participated in the creation of the Never Again platform after the Prestige disaster.

His storybook What do you want me, love?

in 1996 he won the National Award for Fiction and Torrente Ballester and includes the story Butterfly's Tongue, in which José Luis Cuerda based his eponymous film.

His other novels have been made into films, such as carpenter's pencil, also National Critics Award.

Author sensitive and sensitized to the reality around him, his work includes All is quiet and low voices, closing to date with the last day of Newfoundland.
