The priest Ramon Gil Jara receive the distinction of Adoptive Son of Molina de Segura, posthumously, on Saturday January 30 (29/01/2016)

The institutional ceremony for the distinction of Adoptive Son of Molina de Segura, posthumously, the priest Ramon Gil Jara takes place on Saturday January 30 at 20:30 pm in the Teatro Villa de Molina (in Chorrico Avenue, No 10).

Attended by the Mayor of the town, Eduardo Contreras Linares, and the other members of the Municipal Corporation.

Mari Carmen Jara, niece of Ramón Jara, collect municipal distinction from the Mayor.

The event begins with the interpretation of a song written by Andres Meseguer molinense, by singer Soledad location Susarte Sanchez-Rex.

Once the official ceremony, infant, youth and adults of the Parish of Ntra. Sra choirs. Assumption offer a musical performance.

The December 21, 2015, the Municipal Council of the City of Molina de Segura unanimously agreed to award the distinction of Adoptive Son of Molina de Segura, posthumously, Ramon Jara Gil, parish priest of the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, "for his love and commitment to the parish, declared of cultural interest, our patron and the town of Molina de Segura, who was linked closely during the last years of his life. As well as dedicating a street, square or public space to their memory and perform an institutional act of recognition and presented the award, which involved individuals, organizations and institutions to which was linked Ramón Jara ".

The diocesan priest Gil Ramon Jara, 75 years old, passed away on December 7, 2015 in Rome, where he met a group of pilgrims from the municipality to attend the opening of the Year of Mercy.

Ramón Jara was born in Ceuta on March 7, 1940, receiving the sacrament of Baptism on March 18, 1940 in the parish of Santa Maria Magdalena de Ceuta.

At 20 he entered the Major Seminary of San Fulgencio, in the first year of Philosophy.

There he studied philosophy and theology.

He was ordained a priest in the parish of St. Bartholomew-Santa Maria, in the city of Murcia, Monsignor Miguel Roca Cabanellas, on June 28, 1967, at the age of 27 years.

From the moment of his ordination he held the following positions:

Curate of the parish of Ntra. Mrs. of the Assumption of Cieza (1967-1969).

Cura parish treasurer of the Virgin of the Helpless, Cenajo (1969-1971).

At the same time he was in charge of the parish of San Antonio de Padua, Minas (Albacete).

Curate of the parish of San Miguel, Murcia (1971-1977).

Diocesan Chaplain of the JEC (Catholic Student Youth) (1971-1986).

Spiritual director of the Institute Infante D. Juan Manuel (1972-1974).

Treasurer of the parish priest of St. Basil the Great, Murcia (1977-1979).

Professor Institute Infante D. Juan Manuel (1979-1986).

Diocesan Youth Pastoral Delegate (1980-1986).

While he was Director of the Diocesan Lay Apostolate House.

Head of the Department for Youth Ministry of the Spanish Episcopal Conference (1986-1990).

Pastor of Our. Sra. Del Carmen, Murcia (1990-1994).

Professor, Institute of El Carmen (1991-1994).

Director of the Diocesan Secretariat of brotherhoods (1994-1996).

Rector of San Fulgencio and Seminars Mayor Menor San José (1994-1999).

Counselor of the High Council of Guilds of Murcia (1994-1999).

Pastor of Our. Sra. De la Asuncion de Molina de Segura (1999-present).

Closely linked to the regional Easter in 2002 was Nazareno de Honor of the Royal Council of Guilds Pasionarias of Murcia, preacher of the Holy Week of Murcia in 1996 and Butler Honor of the Brotherhood of the Resurrection of Molina de Segura.

In turn he has served at various times of the Priests' Council of the Diocese and currently was the Archpriest of Arciprestazgo of Molina de Segura.

The figure of Ramon Jara is attached to the town of Molina de Segura in a very narrow way, from his responsibility as Pastor of the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, a temple which has turned tirelessly for years in the rehabilitation and conservation as well as in events commemorating the 250th anniversary of the Cultural Interest, which culminated last December 4 with the commemorative ceremony in which participated Ramon Jara.

In addition to his extensive pastoral experience in Molina de Segura noted for his relationships with young people, with children, their connection with Easter, where he was chaplain of the council and was honored as Nazareth of the Year as well as for his devotion to the molinense patroness, Our Lady of Consolation, working closely with the Brotherhood of the Virgin and her work on behalf of Caritas Interparroquial of Molina de Segura, among many other examples.

Ramón Jara was actively involved in all areas of municipal life.

From his position as a man of faith, of consensus, of restraint, loved by the people, he exercised his work in defense of the most disadvantaged, providing social organizations of the municipality the parish.

Also in 2007, he was commissioned to preach the festivity of the municipality.
