The youth participation project 2.8, promoted by the Youth Council of the City of Molina de Segura, was presented at a press conference on Friday 15 January.

They attended by the Councillor for Youth, Reme López Paredes, and the project coordinator, Juan Berenguer Martinez.

The Youth Council launches education pilot project for youth participation 4th year of ESO and 1st year of high school IES Francisco de Goya.

The project aims at joining the processes of decision-making by young people, and they can organize themselves a chosen, planned, conducted and evaluated by themselves activity.

It is part of the importance of implementing a process based on education for participation, on an experimental basis, with young people from secondary schools in Molina de Segura, which can provide a path of education for participation and to foster a process that itself same, generate acquiring skills inherent in participation.

Young people, through regular meetings with a revitalizing project will develop social skills and knowledge on issues that are of interest and can help you organize your own project.

Enrollment in the program is voluntary and activities will take place both in the center itself and in secondary education young municipally owned spaces.

# 2puntoocho fits into models based learning projects and technical resources and socio-cultural interventions.

An important part of the performance is to be the young participants who decide the fate of the budget for the activities.

Once the pilot phase an assessment of all aspects of the program will be implemented and the suitability or not of the same shall be determined and, where appropriate, the necessary changes to improve future possible interventions.

The name of the program comes under Article 2, paragraph 8 of the Statute of Citizen Participation of Molina de Segura, which expressly states the objective "To promote the participation of citizens in public affairs, establish new ways of participation, to ensure the development participatory democracy and the effectiveness of public action. "
