The Oven Museum of Folklore Council and House of Molina de Segura organizes a workshop for children of Bethlehem on Sunday December 20 (17/12/2015)

Bethlehem child workshop, organized by the Department of Tourism and Culture of the City of Molina de Segura in the oven Museum Council and House of Folklore (Cid Street in Barrio del Castillo), Sunday will be held December 20, from 11.30 to 13.30.

Today, visitors who come to the Museum Council Oven may know the characteristics of single oven until the eighteenth century of the city, as well as working clay and other plastic materials for the realization of the crib figures.

Oven + Council House Museum of Folklore

It is a unique example of architecture of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, located in the Castle District is born after the recovery and rehabilitation of the oldest furnace of this city: Horno del Castillo.

The building maintains almost entirely its original structure, made with the ancient technique of rammed earth and which highlights the great dome of its impressive Moorish oven.

The museum shows, interactive media, and a very modern museology, the most significant aspects of a baker and a sample of the most significant aspects of local folklore.

The rooms are consisting of:

• Living Bread: which speaks of architecture, history and stories of this furnace and its people.

• Audiovisual Room: is projected on the walls and dome of the oven extraordinary surround audiovisual, the tireless work of the baker, night after night knead bread.

• Living Folklore: Rounds, street musicians, dance traditions and sounds come together in this room so that visitors know and enjoy the rich folklore of Molina de Segura.

• Sala del Pozo: a reservoir, a meeting of traditional houses in the orchard.
