The Socialist Municipal Group in the city of Molina de Segura has filed a motion for the next regular plenary in November requesting the inclusion of social measures contained in the ordinance of IBI.
The Socialist spokesman of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero, has introduced a series of measures of "social IBI" to ensure a substantial reduction of this tax for the neediest families.
"To ensure that those most in need receive a substantial reduction of this tax, the socialists have proposed an increase in aid and the expansion of the population may benefit from them.
The Socialist proposal includes modification of the tax ordinance regulating Property Tax to extend the current subsidy of 44 € in care of family income taxpayers and reclaim housing units rented.
Similarly, would also enjoy a discount of IBI companies hiring indefinitely long-term unemployed, young people under 25, over 45, women victims of domestic violence and people with disability equal or superior to 33% .
Finally, the proposed social IBI by the PSOE is completed by the exemption from this tax for substandard housing (those with a rateable value less than 13,500 euros).
According to the Socialist spokesperson, "this aid package would represent a decrease of IBI receipt for the lowest incomes."
