The City of Molina de Segura, through the Department of Environment, launched the Environmental Volunteer Program Voluntari @ s by Campotéjar, starting on Saturday February 7 with a strategy to train volunteers for that activity They are knowledgeable about the characteristics, problems and challenges for the conservation of White-headed Duck, a water bird endangered, and recognize the place where lives and nests this bird, wetland Las Lagunas de Campotéjar, where they will perform these voluntary actions.
This program is part of the shares of Disclosure and European Environmental Awareness Project LIFE 09 / NAT / ES / 000516 for the conservation and enhancement of the aquatic bird and its habitat.
Its aim is to involve and raise awareness of Molina de Segura in performing actions that contribute to knowledge, conservation, improvement and enhancement of Las Lagunas de Campotéjar, the White-headed Duck and the species that live there.
To this are scheduled from February to June, various activities in which volunteers can help improve the habitat of the White-headed Duck and associated fauna and flora.
During the months of February and March are scheduled the following activities:
Saturday 7 February: training session on wetlands and interpretive to know the wetland Las Lagunas de Campotéjar itinerary.
Saturday February 21: Workshop for conditioning the recreational area of ​​Las Lagunas de Campotéjar.
Saturday 14 March: building nesting boxes for bats.
Saturday 28 March: auto maintenance and conditioning marked trail of Las Lagunas de Campotéjar.
Activities will take place from 09.30 to 13.30, and are completely free;
