The PSOE candidate for Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero, requested that the City does not charge for citizens and local associations for the use of municipal public spaces, request defend a motion at the next plenary Consistory.
Currently, the City Council molinense agrees to pay to use municipal premises for any activity.
Clavero proposed that the City Council adopted a resolution to "promote and facilitate citizen access to municipal spaces under conditions of free, accessible and non-discrimination, especially on weekends, in order to encourage its use as meeting places citizen participation and deepening of local democracy and strengthening the social fabric and expression of active citizenship ".
It also raises the Socialist candidate that the Consistory commit to "ensure and coordinate this free exercise and equal by ordinance revitalization of social centers and municipal spaces to be used by the citizen movement for exercise participation and active citizenship ".
Clavero argued in the motion that the city's public spaces are conceived as places for the development of municipal activities, local democracy, as an expression of local idiosyncrasies and configured as spaces for citizen participation.
"With the policy of cuts has been restricting access to these municipal spaces, especially on weekends, forcing citizens and associations to have to pay for their use," he adds.
