The City of Molina de Segura, through the Department of Social Welfare, has been a Senior Technical Committee, with the goal of further optimizing resources for program development majors.
The commission is chaired by the Councillor for Social Welfare, and with the participation of representatives of the Federation of Clubs Senior Molina de Segura and districts, as well as the Participation Council Senior Community Center, the Director of Municipal Social Services, the Director of the Senior Center of IMAS and technicians of the Department of Social Welfare.
Among the first steps taken by the Technical Committee is to enhance the in the field of each of the senior centers, all activities that facilitate active and healthy aging.
Celebration was also agreed in Molina de Segura the day set by the UN as the International Day of Older Persons on Wednesday 1 October.
That day will be held a talk about Social Challenges of Aging and Health, by Dr. Vicente Vicente Ortega, of the Institute for Aging Research and Professor of Pathology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Murcia, the 10:30 pm in the Center Las Balsas.
Also the need to give greater cultural content to the excursions and trips made by seniors, organized by the institutions addressed.
As a first step, a cultural trip to Madrid, to be developed by mid-November, three days, with markedly cultural and historical content is designed.
Finally, it was agreed to channel relevant information for seniors through a radio show on a weekly basis, where the elderly themselves are part of the Drafting Committee.
This experience will kick off on Friday, October 3 at Radio Company and will air every Friday from 13.00 to 14.00.
In future sessions, the Technical Committee agreed further actions aimed at older people in the town of Molina de Segura.
