The Municipal UPyD in plenary molinense Consistory will need to push a "promoter group" with the goal of creating a "brand" or tourist and cultural "stereotype" for Molina de Segura, and associate it with a new festival that outside of the festivities, it can serve as economic, educational and cultural engine.
This expert group should include, where UPyD, with broad social representation of the municipality, and people with a deep knowledge of the history and traditions of Molina.
The proposal includes turn recourse to a referendum in case there are several alternatives.
For local spokesman UPyD, Encarna Hernández, "Molina needs to find the tourist, economic and cultural reef, and our city has too many references in medieval Arabic and its rich history as well as in other industrial traditions."
"Unlike other cities in the region, we have no other festival of cultural and tourist interest beyond the festivities, quite the contrary, the date the patron saint of the town has been even less popular in recent years, as consequence of the lack of ideas and innovation. "
According to Hernandez, "If Molina has not been able to find that tourist stereotype is because they have not focused efforts in one direction, but they are blurred in various initiatives of little journey."
"It's time," he adds, "to find what distinguishes us, something that we can enjoy and feel molinenses as ours, and in turn attract visitors from the rest of the region."
"It will not be an easy task, but at some point we have to undertake it, and that is the aim of this proposal," he said.
