The Department of Culture and Tourism of Molina de Segura has decided to extend the period of visit to the Ceará exhibition, artist Trinity García Murcia, until 22 June at the Exhibition Hall of the Municipal Center The Shutters (in C / Pensioner, 3).
The exhibition can be visited: in the mornings, Monday to Friday, 10.00 to 13.30;
afternoons, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 17.30 to 19.30;
and Saturdays and Sundays from 10.00 to 14.00.
The exhibition brings together a fusion of conceptual works and documentary photography on the lives of families living from fishing in the state of Ceará in Brazil.
The research project was conducted over a month in the coastal towns and neighboring villages Icapui.
To develop this artist began visiting fishermen's houses and looking for a closeness with families and their daily lives.
The theme of this project is the individual history of each of these people united by the sea.
Survivors of globalization, trying to support their families with traditional fishing systems that depend on the tides or simply luck.
As in other projects, the artist Trinidad García uses black and white to make these concepts.
The need to cling to time, cultural heritage and dreams that never come to fruition.
Simple people living awaiting an uncertain tomorrow, a day of hard work and effort which is seldom rewarded.
