Given the statements made in recent days by leaders Heredamiento Board of Molina de Segura, we report on the origin and the current situation in which this community is irrigation.
Cajamar Caja Rural has been forced to resort to the courts the refusal of the Board of Molina de Segura Heredamiento pay three loans amounting to EUR 6.3 million granted in 2005, 2007 and 2009 to finance construction of his plan of modernization of irrigation than 3,700 villagers benefit.
The three lending operations, which are documented in the records and certificates of resolutions adopted by the irrigation community, began to be paid as normal but at the beginning of 2013, following the renewal of its governing bodies, the new board decided to suspend fertilizers commitments.
So, today, the Heredamiento has only paid 1.5 million euros to 6.3 million euros granted, pending payment 75% of the total.
Cajamar Caja Rural has several proposals on the table for the irrigation community to catch up on paying your debt, and has been willing to accept the cancellation of the delays and expenses, if the payment takes Heredamiento capital and ordinary interest on the three pending payment transactions.
But so far all negotiations conducted have ended without agreement to the intransigent attitude of its leaders, who are not willing to meet prior commitments.
The works of general interest in the Plan for Modernization of Irrigation, executed and verified by the different public administrations have allowed the optimization of water use of 2,630 hectares in the Vega Media.
At all times, Cajamar has maintained its willingness to dialogue in order to find the most appropriate solution to the circumstances that currently passes this irrigation community, apart from other difficulties it has with the river also confederation, the region or public finances.
Cajamar Caja Rural is the first Spanish credit cooperative activity and devotes special attention to the rural environment and the food industry, which is why many of financing the modernization rushing farmers from different communities of irrigators in the Region of Murcia, Spain.
During this same year, Cajamar granted 4 million euros for modernization plans three other irrigation communities in the Region of Murcia, which will affect about 18,722 hectares beneficially owned a total of 8,867 farmers commoners.
To this must be added the study projects and plans undertaken in the rest of Spain.
