The molinense Holy Week starts with Palm Sunday Procession, April 13, at 18.30, departing from the Church of San Vicente Martir, by the Brotherhood of the Triumphal Entry of Jesus into Jerusalem.
In the procession parade images: Triumphal Entry of Mariano Spiteri;
San Juan, molinense sculptor Gil Barnabas;
and Our Lady of Hope, the work of sculptor José Hernández Navarro Murcia.
The Brotherhood of the Triumphal Entry of Jesus into Jerusalem is based in the Church of San Vicente Martir de Molina de Segura.
Its members wear robes and white gloves, coat, sash and green cone, and black shoes.
The procession carried the usual route, leaving from the Plaza de San Vicente Martir.
Then run along Street Sawmills, Avenida de Madrid, Calle Mayor, Murcia Region Square, Paseo Rosales, Street Station, Main Street, Avenida de Madrid and Street Sawmills, ending again in the Plaza de San Vicente Martir.
OTHER EVENTS SCHEDULED FOR THE WEEKEND
Today, Friday, April 11, at 22.00 hours, coinciding with the celebration of Good Friday, will be the Penitential procession with the image of Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno.
The Via Crucis procession made its exit from the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption and through the streets of Old City to finish again in the plaza of the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption.
Upon completion of this procession, at 23.00, the Brotherhood of the Holy Christ of Sorrows takes the Shuttle procession of the Virgin of Sorrows from the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption to the Hermitage of San Roque.
The transfer of the image of San Juan was also made to the Church of San Vicente Martir.
