The Superior Council of Guilds has awarded the distinction of Nazarene Year 2014 Gil Ramon Jara

The presentation of the official poster and program of events of Holy Week Molina de Segura 2014 took place today, Friday February 28, in the Hall of City Hall.

After the official presentation, the chronicler of the Villa, Antonio de los Reyes Garcia, has offered a conference on molinense processions in Holy Week.

Attended by the Mayor of Molina de Segura, Eduardo Contreras Linares, Councillor of Culture and Celebration, Mariola Martinez Robles, President of the Superior Council of Guilds Pasionarias of Molina de Segura, Antonio Ruiz Serrano, the Counsellor of the Superior Council of Guilds and Pastor Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, Ramón Jara Gil, and the presidents of the four guilds of the town: Juan López Riquelme, the Illustrious Brotherhood of the Holy Christ of Sorrows; Pujante Clemente López, of the Brotherhood of the Holy Burial; Francisco Cánovas Zamora, the Illustrious, Most Ancient and Venerable Confraternity of Our Lady of the Rosary and the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, and Antonio Ruiz García, of the Brotherhood of the Triumphal Entry of Jesus into Jerusalem.

Among the initiatives that the City Council launched this year, highlights the organization of an exhibition of carvings, flags and other objects of the molinense Easter, at the Municipal Center The Shutters.

This exhibition can be visited from 14 March to 14 April.

The Proclamation of Easter 2014 will be delivered on Saturday, April 5, by journalist and writer Antonio Botías Saus, in the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption.

Antonio Botías Saus is a journalist and writer, and has spent most of his career in the newspaper La Verdad.
