The City of Molina de Segura has been a finalist for the award for best project in Open Government and Citizen Participation in Public Administration, during the IV edition of the National Congress of Interoperability and Security (CNIS), held in Madrid on 20 and 21 February.
This conference is an opportunity to experience and technology transfer, sharing solutions and especially collaboration and cooperation among public officials.
Every year advances related to security, interoperability, e-government, collaborative governments and smart cities, where all public authorities have the opportunity to participate awards are given.
In this edition, the molinense Hall was a finalist for the award for Best Project in Citizen Participation Open Government and Public Administration, together with the projects presented by the city of Santander and Zaragoza, which won first prize.
The Mayor of Molina de Segura, Eduardo Contreras Linares attended the closing day of the Congress and received the congratulations of the jury, as well as colleagues from other Spanish municipalities, for the work done in the area of ​​citizen participation in the municipality .
In addition, Eduardo Contreras received a special mention in the category of awards of his career for his involvement and commitment to achieve professional Intelligent Administration award from the Mayor of Santander and President of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) , Iñigo de la Serna.
This mention is recognition of the commitment of the Mayor for the modernization of the municipal administration and the use of Information Technology and Communication in all processes.
