The Young Performers Contest IV Villa de Molina 2014, organized by the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Molina de Segura, the Virginia Association Batuta, the Conservatory of Music Maestro Jaime Lopez, Pro Music Association of Molina de Segura, Polyphonic Choir Municipal Hims Mola and the Band Association of Molina de Segura, was presented at a press conference Friday February 7 by the Mayor of the town, Eduardo Contreras Linares, Artistic Director of the competition, Virginia Martínez Fernández, Coordinator the Organizing Committee of the competition, Ambrosio García Rex, and the Councillor for Culture, Mariola Martinez Robles.
The contest has been organized in the categories of piano, strings (violin, viola, cello and bass), wind metal (trumpet, horn, trombone and tuba) and woodwind (flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon and saxophone).
Participants may compete in one of the modes in the following lessons: Elementary, Professionals and Institutions.
They may enter the competition all those applicants, born in 1989 or later, resident or pursue their musical studies (manner indicated) in the Region of Murcia.
They will interpret works with accompaniment, if required, and they must provide the / the companion (no age limit).
They will perform two works edited and free choice of different styles.
The duration of each of the works shall not exceed 15 minutes.
Registrations will be delivered from 30 January to 28 February 2014 at the Registry of the Conservatory of Music Maestro Jaime López, located in Calle Capitán Cortés, s / n, on weekdays from 10.30 to 14.00, or by mail certified.
The registration fee is 30 euros.
On March 3, provisional lists of participants and March 10 the final list of participants and schedule will be posted.
The competition consists of two phases: Pre, in which contestants perform a work free of a maximum duration of 15 minutes.
All modalities of this phase will be held in the Conservatory of Music Maestro Jaime Lopez.
In the final phase, which tests will be performed at the Teatro Villa de Molina, the second chosen work, with the same length as the first will be interpreted.
The order of the participants will be organized alphabetically by the surnames, and such order shall be determined by lot.
The Director of Orchestra molinense Virginia Martínez Fernández will be the Artistic Director of the competition and decide the constitution of the jury.
The decision on this will be announced at the Gala of Young Performers Contest IV on Saturday May 30, 2014, at 21.00, at the Teatro Villa de Molina.
Prizes per category (piano, string, woodwind and brass players) and level of education (elementary, vocational and higher) are:
Elemental: first prize, $ 300.
Professional: First Course 1st prize, 2nd and 3rd, 500 euros, and first prize Course 4th, 5th and 6th, 500.
Superior: first prize, 700 euros.
Special Award Virginia Martínez Fernández born interpreters Molina de Segura, 300 euros.
Certifying all non-winning finalists Diploma.
The winners of the respective first prizes of the different types and levels of education will have the opportunity to participate in concerts in the following orchestras:
Elementary Teachings concerts in the Region of Murcia.
On conditions, are sponsored by: Piano and String, Chaplin Academy of Murcia, and woodwind and wind-metal, Municipal Band of Molina de Segura.
Professional Education (grades 1 to 3 °) concerts at the Conservatory of the Region of Murcia promoted by the Conservatory of Music Maestro Jaime López Molina de Segura.
Professional Education (grades 4th to 6th): Castilla La Mancha concert promoted by Pro Music of Molina de Segura, in collaboration with the Provincial Piano Competition Albacete).
Higher Degree: Concerts in Murcia promoted by Pro Music of Molina de Segura.
