The Library of Salvador García Aguilar Molina de Segura launched a new Children's Reading Club for children aged between 10 and 12 years.
The meetings, coordinated by Charo Martinez Nunez, will take place in the same city library (in Chorrico Avenue, No. 44), the first Wednesday of each month from 18.00.
The first meeting on Wednesday, February 5th is celebrated.
The book club will consist of a maximum of ten children for a month read the same book at home and then can discuss what they have read and to undertake related to reading along its meetings activities.
During the first meeting, they were explained to the participants what will it consist of the reading club and will be given the book Barbara and mystery of Ariadne, César Fernández, for children to read at home and discuss the next meeting, and in the month of March.
This initiative aims to have it come to young literature of a more fun way to develop critical thinking, to acquire more ease in public speaking and expand their vocabulary.
Also, try to encourage the use of the library as a public service and as an alternative to enjoy your free time and leisure.
