The charity exhibition Art Remembrance II, organized by the Association of Relatives of Patients with Alzheimer's and other Dementias of Molina de Segura (AFAD Molina), in collaboration with the Municipality of Molina de Segura, opens its doors to the public on December 19 2013 to January 7, 2014, at the Exhibition Hall Garden (Joaquín Abellan in Street, No. 8, of Molina de Segura).
The opening ceremony took place on Thursday, December 19, at 20.30, and will be attended by the Mayor of the town, Eduardo Contreras Linares, President of AFAD, José Antonio López Gómez, Councillor for Culture, Mariola Martinez Robles , and some of the participating artists.
Remembrance II Art includes works by 31 artists: Tatiana Abellan, Carmen Baena, Pedro Blaya, Maria Carbonell, Manolo Delgado, Juan Espallardo, Nono García, Trinidad Garcia, Angel Haro, Ramón Lez, Veronica Lopez Capel, Araceli Martinez Martinez Canovas Antonio Martinez Tapia, Rosana Sitcha Martos, Nicholas of Maya, Blas Miras, Muher, Álvaro Peña, José Manuel Penalver, Christopher Perez, Rocio Perez, Eva Poyato, Willy Ramos, Rengo, Semitiel Segura, Pedro Serna, Torregar, Josep Tornero, Moses Yagües Fernández and Pepe Yagües.
With this exhibition, the Alzheimer's Association organizes AFAD Molina for the second time (the first was in 2007), a cultural activity that allows them to raise cheap funds to help this organization continue to maintain their workshops Cognitive Stimulation who daily performed with sufferers of Alzheimer's and other dementias, at its headquarters, located in the Garden Center.
AFAD Molina currently has the following services: Cognitive stimulation workshops; Information Service, Transportation Service to Home, and Physiotherapy Service.
Treatments were occasionally complemented by creative and artistic therapies such as music therapy, art therapy and laughter therapy.
