300 Molina de Segura school have participated in the commemoration of World Environment Day (13/06/2013)

About 300 students / colleges as Cervantes, Francisco Martinez Bernal Teacher, Our Lady of Fatima, St. Michael Tierno Galván and Sagrada Familia, Molina de Segura, participated on 3, 4 and 5 June in the activities alongside the exhibition Recycle and Reuse to create, organized by the Department of the Environment and Urban on the occasion of the celebration of World Environment Day.

Through these activities children have reflected on the importance of small actions and daily habits to contribute to sustainable and equitable development.

Through four games workshops and have worked the correct separation of waste for recycling and ensure the importance of recycling to save water and energy, to avoid contamination and ensure the conservation of biodiversity.

The proposal included a workshop activity waste, which have recognized the various types of materials they are made of containers, as a first step for proper separation, and for remembering which container should be deposited.

In the energy workshop reflected on the amount of energy saved by recycling, the source of that energy and the importance of using renewable energy.

They have seen how different wastes can pollute the water and the difficulty this poses for debugging.

Finally, they discovered how to reuse packaging and organic waste to have an organic garden at home.

As explained by the Councillor for the Environment and Urban, Juana Carrillo Muñoz, "with exposure Recycle and Reuse to create, children were proud of their contribution to the environment, through the assessment of their work done from reuse of waste and have served as an example for the 420 alumni / ae, faculty / as mothers and fathers and citizens of Molina de Segura who have visited the exhibition. has also been an exchange of experiences between centers and a form the public awareness to foster attitudes, skills and behaviors and positive critical to the environment.
