The Chinese Cursed novel, writer Paco Lopez molinense Mengual, will be presented on Thursday, June 13 in Molina de Segura (12/06/2013)

The presentation of the novel Chinese Cursed by Paco Lopez Mengual, will take place on Thursday, June 13, at 20.00 pm in the auditorium of the Library Salvador García Aguilar (in Chorrico Avenue, No. 44, Molina de Segura).

A book launch attended by the Councillor for Education and Culture of the City molinense, Mariola Martinez Robles, author of the novel, Paco Lopez Mengual, and writers Paul Aguilar González and García Santa Cruz Piqueras.

Chinese Cursed is a novel written with humor and bad temper.

A rowdy comedy with influences from Wilt, The Confederacy of Dunces, The best thing that can happen to a croissant and even Don Quixote of La Mancha.

This adventure spiced with comic touches (Mort and Phil) and a cheesy movie grams (Torrente).

After being rejected the manuscript of Chinese Cursed by various publishers (some of which even reached the original launch window as a defense), and after being called a thug, indecent and offensive, now we finally get to see light.

The protagonist of the novel Damn Chinese, Mr. Ricardo Beltran, is a learned man, lonely, schizophrenic, fifties, unmarried, living with her godmother and a chihuahua.

Staunch admirer of the novels and newspaper articles by Arturo Perez-Reverte, his greatest obsession are the problems of Spain, who spends his time writing letters to newspapers incendiary.

The disappearance Beltran dog and other pets in your building, Chinese makes you suspect that just opened a restaurant in the basement of their building.

The fight against time to get his chihuahua trigger a series of events which will put Spain on the brink, and those who will be interspersed nostalgic group of Franco, a high charge state or a terrorist quirky obsessed with attacking the interests of the Catholic Church.

Paco Lopez Mengual (Molina de Segura, 1962), mercer and novelist, has published The Memory of mud, in 2005, the map of a crime (Maeva, 2009) and The Last Boat to America (Temas de Hoy, 2011).

He is also author of the slim volume of short stories The mansion of Mutants (2008) and the travel book Memories of Lisbon (2011).

The map of a crime has been translated into Portuguese.
