The Department of Public Safety, Traffic and Local Police of the City of Molina de Segura works with the Traffic Department in the development in the municipality of a special campaign on distracted driving, which will take place from 3 to June 9.
Studies show that distraction DGT appears as a contributory factor in 39% of accidents with victims.
In urban areas the distraction factor is presented as 34% of cases.
The main behaviors that cause distracted driving are:
Dial a phone number in the phone.
Answering a phone call.
Circular under the influence of alcohol.
Smoking while driving.
Adjusting the radio or CD player.
Set the browser.
Law 18/2009, of 23 November, amending the Road Safety Act in sanctioning serious offense criminalizes driving both using headphones, earphones or other similar devices used manually as mobile devices, browsers or any other communication system when driving.
Local actors, between the said day, shall monitor and control in the town of Molina de Segura distractions while driving.
